Meet Our Founder; Troy Jacobs

Troy Jacobs has coached girls fastpitch softball for over 32 years, starting the Richmond Ruckus organization in 1990 with one team and expanding it to 11 youth teams that now includes baseball. Jacobs has attained over 700 wins in 20 years with the Richmond Ruckus 18U team, and has sent over 100 individuals to play in college, including 65% to NCAA Division I programs.
As head coach/manager with the Ruckus, Jacobs recruited and developed athletes to compete at the highest levels, including prestigious tournaments in Colorado, Hawaii and Canada. He is ACE Certified Level 5, has served as ASA/USA Regional Junior Olympic Commissioner and has participated in ASA Junior Olympic Olympic workshops. Jacobs is also an ASA/USA Softball Council Member and ASA/USA Regional District Junior Olympic Commissioner for Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia. He was inducted into the Central Virginia ASA Hall of Fame as a Coach/Manager in 2013. He is currently an assistant coach at Richard Bland College.
